Cable Question for the LCD Guru's

Hey guys,
I've got an Advantech PCM-5862 that came with a 10.4" DSTN screeen. I am looking to change out the screen to one of the TFT screens that I have here already. The plug that goes into the original DSTN screen is a 31-pin plug. The other screens that I have, have 50-pin plugs on them. Is there an adapter to go from the 31-pin to the 50-pin plug? Are there any other options that I might have for this or am I stuck with the lowsy DSTN? I have searched through and could not find anything about TFT screens for this board. Are there other screens other than the Toshiba LTM10C042 (which only does 256K colors)?

PLEASE HELP ME OUT GUYS! Below are the TFT screens that I have.

IBM ThinkPad Screen
