cheap in-dash displays!!!

I've found a homepage with some cheap in-dash displays I'm thinking of buying the 7" version (TM-701L)!

http://telxtron.co.uk.byber.com/dash.html

But before I would like to get some opinions about it!

Looks good provided the price is right. They only have composite input which isnt the best, but can do the job provided your card outputs a clean signal.

£200 for a 7" 16:9 lcd in-dash looks like a good deal to me. If thats the route you want to take Id say go for it.

I'm torn between looking for a Used Destop VGA TFT monitor on Ebay, hopefully with touchscreen, and going with TVout.

I plan to use This HTPC interface. I can be controlled by Girder. And use most programs that i will need.

I have an Ira and universal remote to operate as IR mouse.

So I could go either way, although a touch screen would be nice too, plus a mini tuckaway keyboard.

Saw them, but I was concerned about the dodgy looking gold finish (this from someone that thinks that Alpines silver decks were too outlandish (I own a CDA 7949)) - I'll be emailing them to see if they come in a basic black :-)

<tikka tikka>

There isn't an email address on their website! I sent a note to them via their ebay sales page :-)

On another vaguely related issue...

Received my 5.6" In Dash LCD from DS Customs today (in the seemingly standard multiple layers of bubble wrap. It's a nice piece of kit...

C!
