Exclamation Xenarc 7" Touchscreen VGA Group Buy.

Ok everyone. Jason Huang at Xenarc said he would be willing to work with us on a group buy. I'm not exactly the best at organizing these things but I'm working on it. What I need from you guys is a head count.

It's already been decided that we will be going with the touchscreen version. This also happens to be Xenarc's biggest seller. The sooner I can get them a head count the sooner we can get the order rolling.

I would like to set it up so that we have an "account" with Xenarc. You call in with your account number and place your order. That way each of us could have them shipped directly to us. How does this sound to everyone? That makes sure that you're money goes STRAIGHT to Xenarc and not some middleman. Personally I feel we should support Xenarc for cranking out a great product. Lord knows it's hard enough getting parts for our unique hobby.

For information on the Xenarc 700 TS.

Pricing has yet to be decided. We're starting in the neighborhood of $500 + shipping. More buyers means cheaper prices.

Post if you're interested.

Exclamation

I've e-mailed Jason again. I've informed him that we have about 10-15 people interested in the buy. I've asked for more specific pricing information and the possiblity of setting up a MP3Car.COM account with thier company.

I've also invited him to post on our board. With any luck we'll be able to hear straight from the horses mouth.

Been lurking in the shadows watching the LCD discussions for a while waiting for something to come along to solve some of my DIY navigation system problems. Assuming it won't cost any more than just buying it from someone else, I'm interested.

I'm interested if it's $475 or below. I can't go any higher than that. Try and get below $450. If we can get it from a retailer for $525 they can afford to do below $450.

I would definatly be very happy if you all could set up an mp3car.com account with them, because while I cannot commit at the moment, later in the summer I may be looking, so if our account is still open that would work nicely. This is definatly looking like the screen for me.

Markup...

Markup at my Car Stereo Shop is usually 20%-50%. The markup on Highend stuff meaning 1000+ is usually closer to 50%. That new Pioneer DVD NAV MSRPs for $2500 but is $1550 dealer cost.

Considering that, I bet they probably sell them to the dealers between 300 and 400.
