Anyone ever had an lcd freeze and break?

Just wondering if anyone has ever been in cold enough temperatures to have an LCD freeze and break/split/crack or stop working (you know, that ugly black liquid from a cracked screen) and what was the temp?
It doesn't get extremely cold where I am now (about -20 C absolute Max, or is that min?) but I am in the military and can be posted to areas with significantly colder temps (-35 to -50 C! I've been there, that's frickin' cold, saw -93 C once with the windchill!).
Just wondering about LCD survivability in extreme cold.

I suppose I could look up my monitors specs but I'm changing from the dw700 motorized screen to a xenarc built in screen soon......

Cheers

BJ

shazbot is an unknown quantity at this point
talk to an engineer from the manufacturer.
LCDs have the potential to "survive" such conditions but you can't really say anything exact unless you know what parts are used on the inside and their respective properties. Also ask about expected lifetime under changing conditions that you will see.
