celica is an unknown quantity at this point
changing screen on alpine cva 1004r

i bust my screen and i have aquired a replacement one and i would like to know how easy it is or not to replace it.
any info, instrustions or diagrams will be greatfully received

This doesn't look so much like a CarPC.

I am guessing the screen you got has a large ribbon connector on it for data, and then one or two connectors for the backlight inverters.

Just pry open the case, disconnect what is there, and connect the new one. THat is if you really only killed the screen. If you "bust" your screen by physically breaking it, then this should be fine. If it "bust" by just one day going out with some smoke too, then you are screwed.

And this site (contrary to the misleading name) is for people who do CarPC's. Not standard HU repair.

yeah i did physically break it, had a row with my missus, it was either the stereo or her, thinking back i should have cracked her, haha
