Okay guys, I am old school and have been out of the car audio game for a long time. So long in fact that my last system had a Sony CD with a linear skating cassette under it!
Anywho... I am still a techie, so can grasp quickly. Here is my question.
I have a Buick Rendezvous AWD with a 2 Din size factory radio. At first I was thinking about just adding an overhead LCD/DVD combo, but then I thought it may be cool to get in dash DVD and just run a LCD to the back, but the problem is on trips, that would leave me out in the cold if I wanted to listen to music or MP3's correct? The rear passengers would be watching DVD's with IR headphones, but I want to listen to the radio.
So the setup above won't work for that scenario, correct?
I might have just found the answer to my question here 3 zone independent control to support 2 sub-monitors, that means when the driver is just listening on the radio, the another 2 sub-monitors can play TV or DVD freely, so passengers can freely choose what he likes to watch.
I guess I need to make sure I find a unit that supports this.
