Xenarc 800TSV 8" thougths and impressions?

I was surprised not to find a whole lot of posts regarding the 800tsv. Anyone own or have owned this monitor. I would like thoughts and impressions regarding fabrication, use, picture, resolution of 800x600, etc.

Thank you.

The reason that it's not used very much is that it's more expensive that other alternatives.

The downside to fabrication is the front panel. It's metal, while most other units are plastic. That's something to consider.

But I think it's a great monitor, and it's what I'm planning for my system.

You never found that link, did you? Why? It's hard to find in the NavBar across the top of the forums, amongst a lot of other crap.

TELL MP3CAR YOU WANT A LINK TO THE FAQ IN A MORE OBVIOUS, NOTICABLE LOCATION HERE.

I've been using it for the past 2 years and love it. THe only reason I'm changing is because I want to go to the transflective upgraded monitor.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't really think the aluminum will pose me problems, a good fiberglass/bondo product bonds nicely. Metal2metal can be handy as well. I learned my Lilliput lesson years ago and they aren't selling the 4:3 MP3car monitor anymore. So, I figured its either the Xenarc 8 or the 7. It is a bit vexing however that Xenarc, clearly knowing the common use of automotive fabrication, went to an aluminum bezel.
