French perlbox mods

I modified with nuts and bolts from sphinx and espeak the original perlbox which can now process french language and by extent any other language (the hard part is to find a dictionary which is sphinx compliant). If someone is interested let me know, i'll build then archive.
It's not 100% accurate but recognizes at least french words with french pronounciations
I don't know how to integrate my work in a fancy way as it is done with the original perlbox but anyway i can make a tarball of the files i modified.

ok i dropped festival from perlbox i replaced with espeak offering far better integration with foreign languages
Now festival is great and it is in no way comparison between one or other software, espeak simply offers foreign languages facilities and some embedded voice effects.

So here we are

et voilą, a fully functionnal voice recognition for foreign languages, actually running with French dictionnary.

To make it work you will need :

- Espeak compiled version from sources
- Sphinx2 no matter if the English or U.S dictionnary is with it.

http://www.r-kraft.com/perlbox-voice-fr-1.0.tar.bz2 around 7Mb

- Extract the archive to your /tmp folder.
- Login as root, enter the new folder extracted from archive : /tmp/perlbox-voice-fr-1.0

launch ./install.pl and let the script do it's job.
It's already finished.
logout from your root account.
launch perlbox-voice and enjoy

Surprised I didn't hear of perlbox sooner. I'll have to check it out.
