Looks like it parallelizes starting various daemons/etc at boot to reduce total boot time. Spiffy stuff! Still experimental, but it looks promising. I'd love to cut down the ~40 second boot time of my car PC.

on my laptop I have my boottime down to 33 seconds (933MHz 256MB Ram) without any of the modifications you have listed above.
