Can someone help me running map monkey or destinator 3 and that /dev/ttyUSB0 can really use GPS..I have cedega(winex) and of course wine...If I can do it..I think i'll get rid of windows in my car for good... .pycar seems a nice frontend...does it have skins support?and apps launching? I read the destinator 2 working but I can't get destinator 3 working

There are a couple of GPS programs in linux which may be suitable (i haven't used any ATM, still trying to get the GPS unit to work :\ ). roadmap and gpsdrive are the 2 Linux apps for GPS nav. Anyone care to share their experiences with these apps??

welel gpsdrive is bitmap..don't like it at all roadmap is USA I'm UE and I think it's bitmap too...you have infomap navigator but I really like destinator and mapmonkey..I don't mind be emulating them is they work...The guys from destinator could sell a .so instead of a dll and we would have a linux library to work with
