That would certainly be welcome! Many of the translations would involve changes to the skin graphics but there are a few places where hardcoded text would need to be translated. The speech phrases would also need to be spoken in Spanish and any sound files that contain speech.
I hadn't actually even thought about it but that's a good idea. I'll probably wait for v2.1 to make it fully multi-lingual with language files instead of hardcoded text just because there is so much other stuff to do.
I should probably provide some French and German translations too. My wife and I speak French (hers is perfect, mine is passable ). The only Spanish I know is from when I was a kid in the southern states so a bonafide Spanish translation would certainly be cool.
There are a few people that have offerred to create skins for the alpha release so I'll add you to the list. If you could leave a note on swaesbb.intuitionsys.com that would help me remember! Thanks...

I'm looking forward to this! I am trying to avoid Winblows at all costs in my car. Your FE looks great!

The MP3 Player/Library is close to completion now. I'm just working on the on-screen keyboard as part of the MP3 Library search function. It takes a while to map the polygons for that many buttons Once that's working I can release a pre-pre-pre-alpha for the artists out there...
One thing I should note is that since it won't even be ready for alpha release, I'd prefer to only release the source and default app tree to those who have offered to do skins and translations. Once it's ready for alpha it'll be up on my site for everybody but I'd prefer to keep propagation to a mimimum while it's in its infancy. Basically, the only thing that works is some limited import functionality and the MP3 Player/Library module. I hope I can make it available by the end of the week but I won't promise anything yet...
Could everyone willing to do skins or translations (in any language besides English and French) pm me or (better) e-mail me? Thanks...

More/updated screenshots
Attached are new and/or updated screenshots of the MP3 Player, MP3 Library and OSK. I think the OSK is a bit too transparent but nothing that couldn't be fixed easily in Gimp.

Video player
Initial video player module that will likely change a bit. I couldn't include the video for two reasons; it works but KSnapshot won't capture the Xine video window and two, I'm going to embed Xine into sw2 anyway so any "working" snapshot would be cheating since I haven't coded that yet. The plus is that things stay more self-contained, the minus is that pre v2 code is going to be useless. Anyhoo here's the snap...
btw Change how's the skin coming...?

I'm missing a Progressionbar in your videoplayer. Everything else is just fine. I could translate everything to German. Just send me the locals.
Everything looks great. Can't wait for your release and test it.
And it would be great, if you could make seperate windows for dvd player and for normal video player

Thanks for the suggestion. As for translations, I haven't decided yet how to implement internationalization. It will likely be packaged with a skin since a skin could very likely have embedded text in the graphics anyway. I imagine English, French, Spanish and German would cover the majority so a German translation would be helpful. Check your pm's...

No big news yet just indicating I'm still alive and working on SW2 I've been stupid busy at work on a big project so the video player stuff is going slow. Rest assured it is coming along though...

The previous Silverwolf on a VIA MII-12000 would boot in about 15 to 20 seconds using swsusp2 on Gentoo w/kernel 2.6.13. I haven't done any tests with sw2 yet and I'll be completely redoing the host system as well anyway when it's done so I'd be guessing right now. I'm hoping to get up and running within 30 seconds without swsusp2.

I'd like to offer some assistance, if you're looking. Long time linux user and programmer. I like the looks of your 2.0 version.
What do you need?
