New stuff from SEMA

Usually I hang out in the OBD-II thread, but my company's showing DashDAQ -- a new Linux-based color touchscreen OBD2 logging device at SEMA this year. If you're in Las Vegas check out the DrewTech booth in Racing and Performance.

I would if I could get it. I'm not an 'industry professional' at the moment, as described on the semashow website.

So, can I put this in my car and get obd II stuff from it in real time to my computer? Or will it only work as a standalone device?

It's intended for standalone mode -- but it has a USB port and an SD memory card slot, so there are some options for PC integration and control. Did you have anything particular in mind?

We were honored with an International press New Product award. I'll try to post some more pictures when I get back to detroit. I'm still sitting in the booth using the free wireless.

I just want something that I can get info like rpms, open loop/closed loop, etc. But I want to be able to do my own display on a computer screen and not use the screen on the device.

Kind of like what you can do with a scantool. BTW, other than the fancy graphic display, how is it different than the scangauge II?
