iPhone Interference

Being the fiscally irresponsible LT that I am I went and bought an iPhone this weekend to add to the long list of money I've recently spent, and now I have sound system interference. Having not had a GSM phone for about 4 or 5 years I forgot I could be exposed to this kind of interference. Does anyone have any suggestions to stop this, or to combat this? Thanks

Matt

By interference, do you mean noise on the stereo? My iPhone does make the fun bleating over the radio. It goes away if I move the phone about 3' away from the dash. I did see someplace that you can use the iPhone as a bluetooth controller, any luck in finding this?

Actually this sorta solved its self just like you said. If i sit the iphone on the passenger seat it makes the computer put out clicking sounds, if i put it on my lap or in my pocket, it all goes away. So for anyones future reference, just move the iPhone, or other offending cellphone.

Since we're on the subject, anyone tried any method of extra shielding? the main USB wire and VGA cable would probably perform alittle better if i had a way to shield them.

It actually isn't the computer acting as the antenna. My iPhone or Razr will do the same on a non-computer interfaced car if I put it too close to the stereo. The first time I heard it I thought it was Police radar (perhaps a guilty conscience), finally, after several hours I noticed it changed intensity if I moved the phone.
