Macbook Pro Connection to Kenwood DDX512

Ok so here is what I am looking to do and I will want some feedback and such. I am soon to be installing a DDX512 Kenwood DVD Navigation Touchscreen into my 2000 Jetta. I have a macbook pro that i want to locate in my trunk, then do a video and audio out to the head unit and into the a/v inputs on the unit. Then I want to create a way to charge the macbook pro while it sits in the trunk obviously. I will probably only use the mac to run music files from itunes via the dashboard application. However the trick I would like to figure out is...using the mac remote, how would i control the computer. I was thinking of some kind of remote sensor or something but i dont know of any product like this that exists. But I will update you on how this goes and how this is working out.

Remote buddy. But if you only want to play music, just get an iPod.

well i still want the computer functions as well, however if the computer is in the trunk how will my remote reach the the sensor in the trunk?

Remote buddy allows RF controllers. Check out their web site for supported hardware.

o i thought u meant like get a remote buddy, but gotcha, i will check them out
