That's the same setup, I had running last year. But my/the P2140 has some bugs, so that the power was cutted completely sometimes before the mini was in sleep mode.

What firmware and settings for the P1240 you are using?

My P2140 has firmware version 1.83 and everything set to standard, except for shutdown lockout. I reduced that to 15secs. That's enough for the Mini to write all the data to the disk.

How do you power the LCD screen? From the secondary output of the P2140?

Because I'm using an Indash-LCD, I set the Shutdown-Delay to 15 sec and set the secondary power to follow the shutdown-delay for powering off. This gives the LCD enough time to close and disconnect (USB) before the mini is going to sleep/hibernate. Else the mini would wake up again, if the LCD is disconnect (itself) from USB.
Today again all the settings were gone.

Yes, I power it from the secondary output. It's just that I have a "normal" LCD and thus I don't have to look after it being disconnected at a certain time. I just switch power to everything off after 15s.
You might have more luck asking your question in the carnetix support forum. I'm sure they've already dealt with such issues.
