i have a 1.66CD with a combo drive i got a a referb 400$ and i use parallels to run iguidance in windows. it has bluetooth which i connect to my iphone and the gps as well. i have a carnetix 2140 as a power supply and they work together beautifully and i can program the 2140 to do whatever i want! i use front row and the provided remote for all the basic UI that i do. i would also recommend a bluetooth keyboard and mighty mouse as depending on where you system is located you may not always want to use it. also i have video ipod connected via usb and i have my itunes library on it. i dont actually use it a an ipd anymore as i have an iphone so it works good and has 60gb of storage that i can use for movies and music. i use the internal drive for gps maps as it is a bit faster in parallels to use the internal drive, and i do a lot of "off roading" so i need the gps sattlite maps and i have some topo maps as well (almost 30gb in map data) which leaves me with plenty of room for music but i have no sleep issues with the ipod so i use it and i can take the ipod out and connect it with my regular mini and put more songs on it and or updates for the carmini. My wifi in my car is very very very very poor. i have my mini mounted in the dash so i figured that has alot to do with it but it sometimes has a hard time connecting to my iphone via ad-hoc, so a booster or an external antenna would be advisable. (though the wifi works fine when i being the mini inside, so it could jsut be my car is sheilded? your millage will vary)
