I've used a ton of different machines - IBM PCs, Apple IIe-Macintosh OSX, Orange boxes (yeah apple clones -- how old is that?) Sun Boxes etc. They have their own uses. The idea behind the new box from apple is that they are marketing to a slightly different type of clients. As a AutoPC user, it is in our market. With OSX and dashpc if it can be recompiled for darwin, it might be usable afterall and might be a nice system. Virtual PC is a nice piece of software and I've used it before on my OSX box a while back to run longhorn). As a machine, if you are comparing macs to PC, it's like comparing apples to oranges (no pun intended). They have their own use and their own purpose in life with their own clientel. If you think you can put car-pc interface on it, more power to you. I personally think that OSX is a pretty easy OS to get used to and a hell of a lot cleaner (stock) compare to windowx 9x/xp/200x
