Mobile Media Center on Mac --> iMeedia
Hey all,
I figured I would go ahead and post a very early alpha of iMeedia. This is basically the port of Mobile Media Center (Check under the Front Ends Forum, if you are not familiar with Mobile Media Center) to Mac OS X. We might be changing the name and rebranding all around for every platform. It was written for Mac OS X 10.3+.
Anyway, it shows off the skin system so far and the sound engine. You can play music files in the music screen. This is very very very early stage.

Can you make it so it automatically plays the iTunes Playlists or atleast as an initial setup, you sellect the itunes playlists?
The browser look kind of kills it. But it looks really nice.

Browser is temporary, I am making a custom list control that works great on touch screens. Like I said, very early stage.

Thanks for working on this, guys! It looks promising.
I see that it doesn't play music downloaded from the iTunes music store. While most of my music is mp3, I do have some I've purchased in mp4 format.

I have quite a few albums purchased from iTunes as well, and they are some of my best cruising music. Is there anyway we can get this supported? Also maybe addind Sherlock to it could be useful.

again... this is ALPHA
all seriousness, it will support all formats, and yes it is just a default skin you can customize it as you please... it was alot of work just porting over everything from the PC version to mac so stay tuned as we bring over each screen and the custom list boxes

Hey guys,
Thanks for the comments and suggestions! As Mike said, this is an alpha version and a lot is being done to make sure that what the Mac community is used to having is there in the product. This will mean AAC and FairPlay AAC formats that are supported by iTunes will be there, plus reading of iTunes information and having it displayed in iMeedia. This means your all of your playlists, etc. Addins support for Sherlock is something we definitely need to do as well.
I will try to get a new build done as soon as I can with the new lists controls.
Take care

Superb... Much thanks to the Hybrid folk for listening to requests and being very cheery at the same time (something that isn't usually seen ). Looking forward to seeing this done!

Sherlock is, I beleive, outdated. Apple will be using the Widgets in Dashboard for information.

Wil they provide the same information? I.E. movie times, flight schedules and such? If those go away I will be quite disappointed.
