Benjamin,
Great work so far! Keep it up. The app works fine on my mini. No crashes, no problems.

Hmmm no sound, are the files Apple Encrypted?
I assume m4a encrypted files cannot be made to work? My m4a files play with iTunes, but no sound with CCar.
Suggestion: add a "fat finger" exit button so we don't have to rely on the menu to exit.

Yes, purchased on iTunes. Now that i look at it again, the mp3s play fine. Is it possible to access the iTunes authentication?
Also i see that the artwork does work with mp3s...it does not show up on the iTunes purchased AAC that I was attempting to use.

If you dont mind, I'd like to make few suggestions,
1. Hide button
2. Now playing button
3. browser forward button, just like previous page button
4. EQ/Specttrum analyzer
5. maybe mute?
Again, great job, very impressed.
TY for the hard work.

No sound? Hmmm, the player only supports mp3, m4a, wav, there are a few more in that alphabet soup but i can't remember what else can pass, so just assume thats it until i say otherwise :P. Also check to make sure that your default sound output device is correct, and you volume is up and all that fun stuff. Mine is marked Built In Audio. If that doesn't work open up /Applications/Utilities/Console.app, maybe some errors being reported in that. If so then please post them.
Hide button - in the works.
Now Playing Button? is this a button that will bring you to the current playing track?
browser forward button, just like previous page button - ill think about it, but i don't think i need it, feel free to convince me to see it your way though.
EQ/Specttrum analyzer - down the road, but that is something that i want to include just for the sheer fact that specttrum analyzers and visuals involve so much fun fun fun math :P
mute - not a problem at all, but where can i stick the button
If anyone wants to design an icon please let me know.

Banjamin,
One suggestion to get you out of the graphic design business (so you can stay focused on code)....make CCar skinnable so that others can apply their creativity and figure out where to place the buttons. All you need to do is provide the button "function" and let others worry about the artistic appeal....

I'm really impressed with your major progress in such a short time. Really looking great.
One comment though, and it might just be me, but could there be an option to not go to the now playing screen whenever you click a new song. I guess I'm just more used to my iTunes setup, where I don't have a lot of info about each song, but have a big list of what's in the current play list.
I could see that some people would like the now playing window, but it'd be nice as an option.
Keep up the great work and thanks!
Joe

Seems like a lot of the crashes happened on dual machines. I didn't mention it but mine is a dual 1ghz G4. Just a possibility.

I loaded it tonight on My MacMINIcooper and had fun! Looks very good. You are headed in the right direction. This thing is very touch screen friendly and I can actually see the words on my 7" screen. (not like itunes).
I had a tough time getting out of it. It stayed on top of the menu and I couldn't select close. I came over from windows, so I had to play with the keyboard for a while to get the right close key press combo. But i did it.
It ran pretty well on my Mac Mini. Only one crash.
Is this ment to run on 800 x 480? My screen is set to 800 X 600 and it doesn't fill it up.
Thanks,
Mike F

Question?
Are you planning to make this a full fledged carputer? gps, wifi, bluetooth, etc etc? or is it mostly going to be a music player? I realize that if you were intending to put on all sorts of features, it would be a while as you have to take it step by step, just wondering what your ultimate intent is. thanks.
