now back to the original topic ......
In addition of the new Mac/Intel chip watchdog... MS & Intel seem to be doing the same thing, although instead of ensuring the OS only runs on certified processors, MS is going to put that new technology into keeping you from burning CD and DVD's etc ....
So, I see many people staying with what works onve the new stuff comes out. Eventually the OEMs will figure out that if you alienate your customers needs, they will not buy from you...
Time will tell where all this will end up.. seems like the movie and recording industry have put some money into this in an attempt to slow down or stop the natural evolvement of things.
When we went from cassette tapes to CD's they loved it cuz you couldn't make a copy like you could a tape... they got FAT again... until computers had that ability...
Problem is, they cannot come out with new formats cuz they won't run on peoples current stereos and dvd boxes, so their only option is to control the next generation of computing devices, and they are hitting Mac and PC equally.
