Is there a BLACK with RED light USB POWERMATE?

Just wondering if this is available because I would love to buy the powermate but the BLUE just will look stupid in my car since everything is RED all around... For those who have it recently...In the case that it doesn't come in red.. would it be too hard to customize and exchange to a RED LED on it?

Thanks Guys!

I recall this being mentioned in another thread awhile ago...i think that their outcome was no...but i think that if you could get enough info on the blue led....voltage/current its using then you could find red one same type/size and one that has close specs to the orig one.. I very breifly looked into this too and i did find that either mouser.com or digi-key.com had some very simular ones but never got farther then that...

You can try to make your own,
(http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/input-devices/57655-mmi-style-rotary-encoder-install-details.html)

I started building my yesterday,

out of an old microsoft optical mouse. no I just have to find a nice knob, some clean buttons and but it in a housing...

I WOULD LOVE to TRY IT... But where did you find the encoder.... I hate to buy these things online. And you did away with the light right?

I bought the encoder at a local electronis store here in stockholm, sweden. the overcharge for everything but on the other hand they've got everything and in stock as well.

this a great idea. now that i have my powermate, i would love to get a different color going. blue doesnt work with my setup at all. orange or red would be much better...
anyone have any ideas on modding the powermate?

After doing some extensive research... I would leave the powermate just like it comes. The LED inside looks EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to change!
