I made a crapp quality video of the program running (FrontRow & Front Row Remote) and the incorperation of a new feature i'm trying to add, Bluetooth Mobile Phone Support. This is not using your phone as a remote control for your computer! By mobile phone support i mean making and recieving calls through your touch screen.
How can i post this video, or where? So ya'll can give me some input as to what you'd like it to do or how you'd like it to function.

Maybe this works.....
Click Here and let me know. i'm at work and can't launch any kind of media
The Video demonstrates the basic uses of "FrontRow" and "Front Row Remote". During the movie a call comes in. the computer speaks the incoming caller's name "Ryan Walling" and then pauses the movie and hides front row.

RE: new front row remote feature
The bluetooth phone calling support is a fantastic idea! However, after watching your video, I think the implementation needs some refining.
Is it possible to display the caller and say their name on top of Front Row? The way it looks now, it takes too long to close out Front Row and then display the caller. And of course I want to go right back to Front Row and unpause the audio/video after I end the call, so why not just stay in Front Row the whole time, if that's possible?
Are you going to also have support to make calls out using the touchscreen of the display? Not sure if that's possible, but I think you just opened a can of worms with this feature.
Anyway, keep up the great work on the best app for controlling a car Mac!
Best Regards,
Adam

That is deffinately the plan. this was just a rough draft to try and fiure out a was to control front row using applescript.

It currently does support this but it does have an extremely long way to go, but it shouldn't take long.

Yes, of course.

Just got my Mini this weekend. I haven't been following the thread in a long time, but just read through it.
I downloaded the file linked on the first page which appears to have a build date of 3-21-06. Is that indeed the latest? If not, please point me to the correct one. If not I have a few items for you:
1) Holding buttons down does nothing until I release them, then it acts as if I had just done a quick press.
2) My Apple Remote (not really critical since my install won't be able to use it) stopped working until I quit FRRemote and put the Mini to sleep (then I could wake it up with the Remote).
3) Trying to run FRRemote again, I just get a spinning beachball.
Otherwise this looks great and will be my front end for the near term.
Thanks,
-dave
Current Config:
Mini Core Solo
512MB RAM
Lilliput 7" & TS
Apple USB Keyboard

Hmm. That definitely doesn't sound like the most recent build, but the URL is right.
The Apple Remote I know nothing about - it's lower-level than anything I'm dealing with. From the sound of it, though, I know what problem you're having, but it's a problem I was almost sure I'd eliminated in the most recent release. Could you try re-downloading it to make sure?

As a developer, I hate when that fixes things
All the info (last mod date, etc..) still appears the same but it appears to be working now even after quiting and restarting the App a few times.
Thanks,
-dave

Quit Button
The program is great, I am using it for a carputer, but when I am done with front row, I want the remote to terminate, this way not interfering with a touch screen with a front end program I am using
Thanks
Jonathan
