Have seen loads of them for free, or very little money...

please do, especially if they are open source. this is probably very achievable through bonjour.

ok apparently the whole wireless sync thing is very possible, this company just released a wireless ipod sync station

This program is called SyncOTunes. Kind of does what we all wish... since it's fairly easy to network your macs wirelessly. Just leave the wireless active in your car... then network to it via your home mac. run the program.

The program compares your iTunes library xml files and calculates the differences. It creates a folder on each computer with missing songs from the other. All you have to do is drag and drop to add them to the library of the other mac. Of course, it would be nice if you didn't have to manually import them into iTunes like that.
