Looking for a Wireless router that supports mac/pc with long range of at least 300+ feet
I was Thinking Dlink or Linksys but which one im not sure.
Ive read reviews on em all and came back with two models for each,Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with SRX400 WRT54GX4 & the other D-link DGL-4300 not sure about the range on Dlink though.
Any Suggestion on a good range wireless router and adapter that also supports mac,i ask mac of course because i have a mini mac in my car but the driveway is very far from my farm house, plus 3 pc in my home.

what type of router you should get isnt based off your computer. You can use Macs and PCs on all router types. The signal is what you have to look at to make sure that you can get the same signal that your mini is looking for. Shouldnt be that hard. I think the mini use 802.11G but i could be wrong.

I have the new apple wireless base station, and the range on the is good, not sure how far though, but i do have the added advantage of just taking an Airport Express out side and plugging it into the invertor to get a MUCH better signal....

last time i checked the belkin n1 mimo routers supported pc/mac they have upto 1000ft, providing you use the matching mimo usb dongle, very fast indeed!

supports dsl/adsl as well...

i would read up on router mods and go from there. try the wiki for DD-WRT. After you've chosen a router that won't choke, look at range extension. As stated above, a router doesn't care what kind of computer is connected, only the protocol (wired, wireless a,b,g,n). I currently use a Linksys wrt-54gl as my main hub. I have no current need for range extension, I get great throughput through at lease 2 walls and 150+ feet, but I like quickertek.com and macwireless.com for their products.
