Mac mini install for my delivery car?

Should i install the mac mini in my car i use for delivery? I work as a Chinese delivery guy and during a shift, i usually go in and out of my car 5-8 times a night. Is this bad for the mac mini? I usually turn off the car to save gas when i run into the store.

I work as a delivery guy for a chinese restaurant as well. Only 5-8 times a night? You guys must be either really slow, or stocked full of drivers!

usually I am in and out of my car 6-8 times an hour.

My CarPC is fine. I am not using a mac, but a computer is a computer. The only difference with a mac is that it is shiny white. That's it. Never had problems. And I could not be happier with having a CarPC! You, I, and other delivery guys know, that when you are in your car as often as we are, you get tired of CD's. YOu go through music really fast, so the CarPC is a must.

Do it. Worklog it. Post it here!

I would say that as long as you run the correct power supply (P1900) or similar, if it is set right using the jumpers, you should not have a problem with the machine at all....

I don't get in and out as often as you, but even a couple of times in an hour can be a pain if you have to wait for it to reboot etc everytime.

Should be no problem at all. Use a P1900 and set it to sleep. It will wake up in under 3 seconds when you start the car.
