The location based triggers seem the most interesting to me... could be very handy.

You've removed the pop up beta alert.

Great !!!!

but that flashing between beta and mp3car.com is annoying.
better to have just the beta warning on all the time

Strange...

Hi,

i really love the Destinator and did a complete reinstall of my car pc.
Now i installed the newest beta an get the following error:

Description: Component 'MSCOMM32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

I am pretty sure i made a stupid mistake (it was late last night), but...
can someone point me to my error ?

Many thanks in advance,

Superbowl

^^ Check you actually have mscomm32.ocx in c:\windows\system

if not try http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...7&postcount=17

Also why is there no Audio Mute option in Configuration for WMP? It's there for frodo and winamp...

It covers the text of the current road... quite iritating if you are on a street with a long name

This is exactly how mine behaves.. I checked that mscomm32.ocx is in system, system32, and frontend_beta3 folder.. And yes, it's registered.. The previous beta worked fine..

So far so good... the only problem I had was that there was a saved route from the last time I used the software. The new version went straight into the configuration, and it would blank out the screen after a couple of seconds and try to recalculate the route, and not allow me to finish the setup. I just restarted the app and clicked "OK" in the configuration, cleared the route and went back into the settings to check everything out.

I can't seem to disable the "speed camera" option, and setting the GPS to advanced/sirf keeps getting reset. Not sure if it's a problem with the receiver itself or what... I'm using the MS/Pharos USB unit that shipped with MS Streets 2k5 over USB (seen by XP as "COM8").

I have a question about the SAPI plugin though... I have VR/TTS at home via AT&T Natural Voices -- best damn sounding voices in the whole world IMO -- is it possible to use these voices with D3 instead by enabling this plugin?

I'll test the app fully tonight on the way home and see what if I can find any bugs.

Mine allows me to use any installed Speech engine that is SAPI.

More stable and robust then ever before. Nice one, brother!
Just for my information: is Destinator3 FE going to get (at least) basic keyboard support for those of us not having touchscreens?

Some great work there NM, I must ask though - why the beta/mp3car.com advertising ? It seems more stable than most FINAL carpc software out there!

do you need destinator 3 to run this, or just the mapping files? is it a skin that goes over destinator 3?
