You may have to HASSLE Rafiq at PowerLOC to email you the DLL in addition to the standard SDK. Be prepared to have to prove you have bought a D3 licence!
Ensure on your payment form you state that you want to use your paid-for full size maps, I did this to make sure that if they didn't give me what I was asking for I had decent grounds to get a refund.

I've emailed the only person who I think can make one with no luck

I have only just started looking into GPS solutions. I just bought destinator and the SDK with it. I am still waiting to see what DLL is provided in their SDK.
This whole post is just crazy. Here you have a large paying customer base who is telling you that the product is great and the company turns around and say's "you guys can't use it" WTF?
We are very willing to pay for this software. With the added benifit of GPS tracking this is one of the coolest developments in carputers I've seen.
We will be integrating this into our front end. I hope all the legal issues are clear before we finish.
Just so I make sure I understand this correctly.
You can purchase the Destinator SDK for $50. That license is only good for one machine. Each system you install Map Monkey on will need it's own SDK.
You also need to add the maps ($150 for north america).
Total cost of GPS software solution per system = $200

Damn the more I read into this the more crazy it seems.
Objective:
Add GPS, Maps and Tracking functionality to our Front End software package.
Maping software with available SDK:
Destinator
Cost:
$200 per system which will only work until August at which time we would have
a) a non working map system
b) To pay more money and get the new dll
c) To call them on the phone and say nasty things
Business case for GPS software looks like it might take a turn for the worst.
Here is what I'm thinking.
Use the cracked dll and purchase the maps legally. When Powerloc sends us an email asking to stop selling system configured this way we offer to pay for the dll's. If they refuse to sell us the DLL we keep distributing the software and wait for them to take us to court.
If they say they are too busy to work on licensing PC's I don't think they are going to have the time to take us to court.
We aren't trying to steal anything from them we are very willing to pay. We are just trying to provide additional features to our product and there is no way I can included a DLL the expires in August. The last thing I want to do is fly half way across California to spend 5 minutes plugging in a USB key and updating one file because the customer couldn't work it out.

That is one advantage of living in Brazil. I am sure they will offer us a solution, why would they take legal action against someone willing to pay for their product.
Even if you used the old dll your still paying $149(in North America) for the maps.
I hope this gets addressed soon, it would be much better if we sorted this out before trying to install it.

I think D3 will be used until another solution comes out from some where... where that would be I have no idea...

Wait, does the dll expire or not?
I am working with the sdk for integration into a program as well (without much luck ) and if the dll is going to expire, I am wasting my time. I would like Destinator to actually release decent documentation for the SDK that way I don't need to pay all of the money for support to ask a question that should have been explained in the documentation.

The documentation isn't perfect, but it's no worse than most DLL documentation.
I am guessing everyone with a 'expired' DLL will be able to speak to their HSTC contact for an updated one with any further charges.
