i'm new of this forum..
i'm from Italy..
i can't find anywhere a fully functionally package of Destinator + Italian Maps..
can anyone help me??

the official 1.1.2 version no longer includes the required SDK. There isn't a resolution at the moment until something is worked out with PowerLOC.

the BETA 1.1.3 testing period is now over, so you won't see that again until the official release of Map Monkey

Then.. what can i do to have a navi in my car??

You can have it ... you just need to purchase Destinator 3 like the majority of law abiding citizens

not for PC ???
dll in NM´s legal version is locked to max 3mb maps. Good luck in loading a map bigger den 10km radius in that one.

Seeing as Destinator don't think that there is a big enough user base out there to support D3 for PC (http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/map-monkey/41013-response-powerloc-hstc.html), why don't you e-mail them the same question?

finally i found destinator 3 from my friend....
but.. just a question...
watching some forum.. i saw some guys run destinator 3 on pc by mediacar...
but the generic copy send me by my friends don't work.. it ask me a device.. (pocket pc i suppose).
There are 2 version of destinator? one for pocket pc and another for pc??
Where is the trouble?

How can others people run destinator on their pc-car??

Are there going to be any changes to the SDK with the coming of the final? Also, is the 1.1.3 BETA3 title going to be removed?

yes, the DLL's name/reference has changed and commands like "IsDestinatorRunning" is now "IsMapMonkeyRunning" etc...

You have to buy it. Then email Destinator.

The license for the SDK simply says on sdk.destinator1.com that the developer (Ninja Monkey) can make and app and distribute it based on the SDK. To use the application the user has to buy a license from a reseller or destinator themselves. The only version of the Destinator available comes with PPC binaries but it's still a license to use Destinator isn't it.

Buy it then pester them. We all know it will take them days or even hours to change their current SDK so it supports the online activation thus making sure only those who have bought it can use it.

Can someone pm me a link that outlines what this software is and how to use it. I have no idea what SDK means and I don't understand the use of purchasing pocketpc software if I'm trying to use this with a regular pc. I would love to use this as I'm thinking this is the same software that's embedded in Frodoplayer.

Really, you NEED to look through the threads in the Map Monkey forum. It's been covered a hundred and one times!

The 'SDK' is the software development kit which allows Destinaor 3 to work on the PC. To use Destinator with the SDK you need a licensed version of Destinator 3 (which only comes with PPC binaries).

If you read through the threads you will see that there was some confusion of the legaity of the SDK that was used in 'Destinator 3 Frontend' which is now Map Monkey as someone somewhere edited it to make it load large maps and removed the 'demo' part from it. It is currently being sorted out with Powerlok the company that make Destinator 3 at the moment I think.

The thing about this forum is light years of convo can go by in a matter of weeks. I would rate myself as mid level intermediate when it comes to pc's (hard and software) and once I got pass the basic level with my carpc I wanted to add a few things. I read about frodoplayer having destinator 3, but never fully understood how to use it or what it actually was. Then all the questions about it made it even more confusing to me so I just needed a place to start instead having to sift through a million threads that didn't answer my question. I'll start with this thread( http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/map-monkey/41392-release-map-monkey-v1-1-3-a.html ), but if there's one out there that will better explain things to me can someone please point me to it.
