I needed to do tests with POI thats easy for human to input. So i typed CSV file by hand... however that didnt work in extraPOI like it was supposed to. So i convert hand written file with your POIconverter to .DAT, that didnt work either. But when i convert same original hand written file with your converter to .ov2 file extraPOI plugin works like it is supposed to!

Problem is that .CSV .DAT file contained POIs appear correctly on favorites (even distance is counted like it should be) but when u look additional information from these favorites, u noticed that lat and lon values both appear to be zero, which also causes that these POIs can't appear on map or u can't ruote to them.

Because of this goddamn bug... i lost quite a bit of time when pondering around it... so i would be really grateful if u could give me info about .DAT (destinator) POI format... I mean if u dont... ill find it out anyhow... u could just save bit of my time....

BTW great software.

It should work but I will be glad to help you. Can you send me one of those CSV?

Ok, im too lazy to registered the site u mentioned...

But i did repeated test, this time not with file written by me, but .ov2 file downloaded from net (swedish gasoline stations). And if u feed it to garos extraPOI as it is (as .ov2 file) everything works fine, but if u before that use garos POIedit to convert it to .dat file... results are same as in my tests with my own file.

I have a problem with this on my car pc but it works on my home pc

When MM is starting up it throws an error that ends in 0000135 I think, only option is to press ok to terminate the plugin. Also when I press configure in the plugin section of MM config it doesnt pop another box up. What is going on here? I really want to get it working in the car

Cheers,

Richard

Install .net framework OR (better choice) use my GaroNav (check my signature).

Ok I downloaded the 1.1 .net framework and now the plugin works yay!

Only problem is that when the plugin is turned on it makes my system run slow. When in MM if I press the next track button it changes but takes about 5 or more seconds to show it in the display box, it aso makes my audio menus in RR very very slow. Anyone else had this problem or could perhaps shed some light on the situation?

cheers,

Richard

You may have too many pois. Or try to lower update speed. Or get rid of MM and download GaroNav

Only put McDonalds, Cinemas and supermarkets on. Will have a look at the update speed, see if it makes a difference. May try GaroNav but would assume it should work the same in MM as GaroNav....

It is completely different because in GN I update pois just when I need it, so there's no slow down due to the plugin refresh.

bitmaps

Hi,

I got it to work and I get notified when I aproach POI's but what I dont get are the bitmaps on the map that correspond with the POI's.

I emptied my database with cam's in MM so that I use the cams I import from Tomtom in Garo's plugin only, but the cam's from MM are still displayed on the map. Does that have something to do with it?

I apreciate your help.
