Wierd Error Message For No Reason...

Was off driving yesterday, had been driving around places most of the day, i set the address to stop off at a friends, then rerouted it towards my address, or at least tried...
I recieved this message.

Path Not Found: IMPOSSIBLE TO BUILD WAY

now the computer had not been retarted or anything, nothing had changed it just randomly came up. And would not work again after that.

I sat roadside and uninstalled map monkey, reinstalled. Same error, tried again after deleting all the folders etc and registry keys... Then i started getting mapmonkey just crashing with an error report.

The only thing i couldnt do i recopy my maps from my cd as i didnt have it, is it likely to be map corruption or something causing this error?

was a bit of a nightmare, due to having gps i didnt have a map, haha and didnt know my way home.

Any ideas why this may have happened and if its likely to be a map problem? even tho i hadnt changed anything and it had been working fine 2 minutes earlier.

I got this a couple of times using FreeDrive, so must be a Destinator problem.
It usually occurs when I'm not on a marked road (e.g. Hotel car park in Turin), although it sometimes worked OK from the same position.
The only consistant work around I've found is to change the GPS COM port to one that isn't used (i.e. disable GPS) and set origin to a road nearby, set route & then re-connect GPS (set COM port back to the right one). She then happily recalculates the route as you drive out onto the marked road.
Hope that helps.

Yep, a destinator problem. I've experienced it myself, but only when I didn't have very good GPS reception so I imagine it was placing me in a field somewhere

After driving for a while and getting my signal back I re-routed and all was well
