[QUOTE=_dopehead_;1100566]Ok, so i think we need a How-to for using PCNav7 in RR embedded.
First off, i would love some comments on it, since i might not have gotten everything done as cleverly as it could be, but here it goes :

-Excellent, I can follow that easily. Trying to convert the RR instructions to get it into iCT is an absolute nightmare. I'm still working on that.

I have installed IndieVolume but cannot test it at present as the PC is still on the workbench.

Hopefully I will have it in the car next week and be able to do some tests.

Regarding iCT and pcnav7, i just installed iCT to see what its like, and tried to embed pcnav, works fine i think, is this not the way you wan't it to look ? :

All i did was in the external applications menu, under navigation software i put this command : "C:\Program Files\Navigator7\PC_Navigator\PC_Navigator.exe --window_border=no --window_position=0,50,800,550" in one line

there are somethings that pcnavigator is lacking but overall its better than desinater .. plus the maps are getting old and out dated.. its just waiting for the new release to come out!

I made my own loader. It does the following:-

* Loads the configured program (with the configured args)
* Monitors roadrunner & when it see's roadrunner die, it will kill the loaded program + itself
* monitors the loaded program & if that dies, it will die too

I think it does much the same as Dopeheads without the requirement for the kill scripts.

Interestingly did anyone have hassles installing v7? The isntaller on mine tried to extract rar files that simply were not on the install cd. Luckily it was only the help files & I was able to fool it into completing the install, but still - very unprofessional. I'm going to call them tomorrow & complain.
