I've also asked about the improvements mentioned here in this thread, had this answer;
"Version 7 after CeBIT, end of March/April."

If it's Version 7 rather than 6.nn will they try to charge us in order to get what we should have had in the begining?

I don't think so, they have released one patch for 6.x and probably won't release any more, since the next release is 7.x. i will be very dissapointed if i have to pay for basic functionality enhancements in a product that was released not that many months ago.

i have to say of all the satnavs i have tried, this one takes the trophy for simplest, and most up to date!
has anyone had any success in embedding it (apart from the full screen when the 'menu' is pressed) into road runner, ive made a skin, and added a application/clipping area, it loads, but i have touch the application area to be shown, what code are u using? im using this, a button from the main skin file:
B,000,250,200,050,"LOAD;pcnavigator.skin;GPS;C:\ Pr ogram Files\PC_Navigator6\PC_Navigator.exe;Navigator 6",""
pcnavigator.skin has the following code to embed:
A01,204,42,596,516,192
C01,204,42,596,516,192
i think my code is ok, just want to know if anyone else has done anything better.

for now i think buy, then try :-(
Embedding this application is kinda pointless until it can be resized, the problem with the application area is that you are missing an area of the actual application window, in my tests i have been able to embed it just fine in a smaller area and then have menu's around it, but you are actually just covering part of the application.

You need to read the section on scout warnings in the help file.
Basically what I did was convert a speedcam.csv into an .xls file with excel, then use a program called getmef.exe located on the installation media to convert this file into a .mef file called cat999.mef
this file needs to be placed in the europe_ta folder.

Would anyone be willing to post a copy of their cap999.mef file? i'm running vista and the getmef application crashes after importing the XLS data I have. failing that, would anyone be prepared to convert my data into an mef file?
I must say that I like the way navigator 6 has gone, I was a user of prymenav for years but this is a real step forward for people who use touchscreens.
EDIT:
Managed to get something in via DBF import rather than XLS. quick question. what are the references to N1 for longitude and latitude for? I have data that looks like this.
GATSO :1070@50 53.560080 -2.405122
GATSO :1073@50 53.549775 -2.385684
GATSO :126@50 53.375489 -2.379942
GATSO :13267@50 51.829022 -2.368820
and i'm picking geographical dd.dddddd from the getmef program along with N1 long and lat.
Are my cameras placed correctly or are they on the far side of the earth?!
Regards,
Mat
