OK, I ahve mappoint installed. What do I need to do with the MediaEngine GPS addon to use it?

Also, As I have Mappoint installed to use AGPS as default, will ME use the AGPS addon too?

Does the GPS addon work with ME2

I'm thinking about just releasing it. I had a lot of battles with people in the mappoint newgroups. Mapppoint will list directions to a final location but it doesn't know when you made a turn. I figured out how to do this but still no one really believes me. Well I didn't figure this out, I got some help from someone in the forums here and i can't remember his name but its in my source code.

So I'm thinking about it.. I'll probably release it once its stable.

no it won't do voice as of yet. That'll be a carcomp or phat_b choice. I am not a windows programmer I just decided to get mappoint working cause i heard on demand routing could not be done so I decided to do it and for the most part it works.

Damn. If CC, or P_B get that in, I would definatley swap from AGPS, that is the killer in AGPS for me, the Voice prompts.

aGPS uses the Microsoft Voice interface. You have it by default in XP, or can add it to other windows versions.

Would be nice if, when getting a voice prompt, it could lower the MP3 output for a second. not mute it, just lower it, independant of the the main volume.

I have added voice feedback to my application for turn-by turn feedback. I pause the audio or radio for the time during which the feedback is given and then resume the music back . I am using Microsoft SAPI with Microsft Mary's voice and now planning to use AT&T natural voice but its very expensive. Take a look at the demos at http://www.naturalvoices.att.com/demos/.

I can share to code for TTS in case any one needs it.

Regards
Satish
