I'm working on getting GPS into ME. I took code cloudy was working on and fixed it up a bit.

Right now its a very very limited version.. what it'll do is just follow you around. I'm gonna need some beta testers so when I do an update they can test it out.

All you need is MS mappoint installed.

ok here is my status.

I had some code working.. but it wasn't up to my stanard so i totally re-did it and now it doesn't work 100%. I will let you know my progress on this and to all those who want to beta test I will email them a url to grab code from.

Note: I think I've fixed the memory leak that is in 0.3beta. Look for 0.4beta soon with that fix. If I didn't fix it its 99% fixed.

Hi

i have tested it and the first look is great.
Here is a screen shot.

As you can see i'm in the middle of the ocean
The posistion is (Red arrow)
Lat 51.4339N
Long - 005.4863E

In real live i am at (Green arrow)
Lat 51.4339N
Long + 005.4863E

As you can see the - is not correct in the Long.

For the rest.
It looks great and fast

Is there a trial version of MapPoint to download anywhere??
I can only find it as a demo CD, which comes from the US.

skoda, i thought there'd be a problem with your euope people with the longitude. I'll release a fix for that in a few hours

0.4beta is now there for testing. Here are some things it should fix

- Fixed the longitude problem in Europe.
- Fixed a few more memory leaks. There is still one when it deletes all of the pushpins. We are losing around 3 megs of memory an hour

0.5beta is out now.

- FINALLY got the last memory leak! YAY. Instead of deleting all the pushpins I am just moving the current one to a new location. We seem to be around 4k every 10-20 minutes which is normal for windows.

Also I'd like to know if people will actually use the arrows. I'm needing a way to add an option to insert a end location.
