ME v2 Start/End Dates and Source

Hey,

I'm just now finishing up the hardware for my carputer and so am looking into software. I haven't been keeping up on the software, but Media Engine v2 looks like it's going to be pretty good. I suppose this is a question for the developer, but if anyone else knows then great. When did development start for ME v2. CarComp has been pretty good about giving updates on the progress, but I can't even find a guess as to when it's going to be done. CarComp, would you be so bold as to make an estimate?

Lastly, even though it isn't finished, would you consider making what source code you have available (it's in VB right?)? I'd like to see if I can begin to understand it now, so I can make any mods (if they are even neccessary) when you release the final version. Plus, I still sort of a beginner with VB. I think seeing some of your source code would be educational for me.

I am sorry, but I cannot set a release date. If I did, then missed it, you would all be dissapointed... But don't worry, its not going to be "REALLY LONG"... We have 3 more things to do... Integrate GPS and do the alpha testing (programmers only)... Then beta testing (which certain people get to do).

Then it goes release. With no bugs hopefully. If we rush it to get it to you, then there may be problems. We don't want that.
