Question Problem with ME 1.7 running video

Please help, every time I tried to run video (MPEG movies) ME keep giving me this message:

"Mediaengine has cause an error in MSDXM.OCX, mediaengine will now close"

I have reinstalled ME several times. What do I need to make it works? What am I missing? Thanks you very much in advance.

open up mplayer2.exe and see if you can play the same files (msdxm.ocx is the wmp 6.4 ocx)

Thanks frodobaggins. I have tried playing the same video file in WMP9 and also Winamp and both played fine without any problem. But I am still getting the same error message:" Mediaengine has cause an error in MSDXM.OCX and will noe close". Don't know what else is wrong. Seems like the video player in ME will not work at all. The MP3 side works well. Appreciate you or anyone else help.

Thanks.

If I have time I'll look at the code and see if I can reproduce it.
No promises...

I'm to wondering if you have had the time to look into the problem of crashing video.

I've got the same problem: after the video is done playing M.E. crashes. I get the following messagebox:

Run-time error '-2147467259 (80004005)':

Automation error
