FAQ question about Skin installing

I know it is pitiful that I can't find the answer by searching here, but could somebody help a guy out. I'm looking for instructions on how to properly install downloaded skins.

The FAQ on www.mediaengine.org doesn't mention it (at least not that I can see)

There is no 'sticky' FAQ on ME here any more.

AND the word skin appears about 87 billion times (since the advanced search tips are not done on this forum us self help guys are stuck asking stupid questions like this one)

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. -Carl

Confused is on a distinguished road
Inside the ZIP file should be the following:

SkinName.skn
SkinName\ folder

Unzip these into the MediaEngine\skins\ directory. Then, go into settings (click the clock-bar) and select the skin from the Appearance (i think) menu, click Done

It is that simple

OK, I got it working... guess I am a little dumber than most and need more explicit directions than most.

So here goes.... to correctly install a skin (which is made a verified as working) do these things:

1) Make a subdirectory under the skins subdirectory which is under the ME directory such that if the skin is called MySkin.skn you would have this

[drive letter]\[Media Engine Directory]\skins\MySkin

In the \skins directory would reside the MySkin.skn file and in the subdirectory (which must be named EXACTLY the same as the SKN file, would reside all of the graphic files....

here is an example when the program is installed on the E: drive and the skin is called 'Contrast'

The SKN file is located in the E:\MediaEngine\skins\ directory and is called Contrast.skn

There is a subdirectory called E"\MediaEnigne\skins\Contrast that contains all the graphics files...

Hope that helps someone in the future. -Carl
