Installation Problems with 98
I tried installing M.E recently and the installshield wizard stalls out at 100% when copying a file named "STDOLE2.TLB" to the C:\windows\system directory. If I use taskmanager to close the installshield wizard, I can go to the ME directory and run the program and do the configuration, but once I hit the browse media button, the menus respond EXTREMELY slowly (on the order of 30 seconds to register a keypress). I have downloaded and installed the updates from the news section of mediaengine.org, but they don't appear to make a difference. I have also tried uninstalling/reinstalling WMP9 and MDAC (tried using the MDAC version on MS's site as well) to no avail. Any clues?
