question about the steel background skins

Downloaded and installed ME last night - so far it's working great and I really like it.

I also downloaded the steel background skins and according to the 'read me' all I need to do is drop the files in the the skins dir of ME. This however didn't work (I tried a single folder, a single image, everything). Probably a stupid question, but do I need to use the steel background images to actually make the skin? If not any ideas?

make sure that the actual filenames of the jpg background files match what is written in the *SKINNAME*.skn files. You can find this file in \MediaEngine\Skins.

Your background image has to go in the \MediaEngine\Skins\*WHATEVERSKIN* dir
