That great. Although my ME has been wokring flawlessly bug fixes are still great.

I have 1 huge request to make! Can you add Mitch's Sirius interface to your Frontend. I send you a PM a while ago about it. He developed a very simple interface just like XMPCR but for the SIR-ALP1. Its a serial based board.

What i cant wait to test out later this week is the acc line. I have my resistor and an old serial cable chopped up and ready to test. Hopefully wednesday ill be able to give it a shot.

Phat. So I checked out the new beta and am trying to get my XM direct to work with it. First off, it works flawlessly with Frodo's program so its not my hacked cable. When I'm in the radio section, in the settings, and check the enable XM box, the program goes through and checks the com ports. My XM direct is connected to com 1 and the program goes through chugging out numbers on COM 1 and then gets to a certain number combination, its like 425632, or something like that and then stops. I've let it sit there for a couple of minutes but it never receives the Radio ID or does anything else. After, restarting ME and accessing the XM, the channels are displayed but none of them are updated. I've also waited for the updating of channels for a few minutes with no luck. I even tried Issa tip about setting the XM Direct flag to false in the settings.ini with no luck. Any suggestions? Besides this, everything else is looking great!

are there any plans to have presets butons for XM....the XM inteface is very nice but it is not real useable IMHO because I requires that I take my eyes off the road for an extended period of time to find the station I want

Ok, I'm going to try and address all the questions. In the future it might make more sense for you to ask questions in a new thread, as this one is getting way off topic.

Kamakazie2: in regards to adding support for a Sirius tuner - I think I was pretty clear on what I needed to get started. We're not spending any more money on purchasing hardware for the purpose of adding support to MediaEngine. The freeloaders of the world will just have to deal with it. I've made suggestions to those wanting new hardware support to organize a group interested in the device to help spread the cost amongst yourselves. Aside from that we're simply not going to go out and invest any more of our own cash into it.

I wish I had some suggestions for you, but I the only suggestion I can make is to organize a group to purchase a cable and tuner so we have hardware to test with. I'd love to get some useful information on how Frodo's handling this, but the only help he's offered is for us to use compiled pieces of his application, and we don't want to do that for numerous reasons.

Yes, that's on the 'todo' list, right behind fixing the xmdirect issues, and the gps issues, and... well you get the point.

Well yes, and no. You can specify another GPS application in settings (other than destinator).

M/E doesn't use an external dvd application, although playing dvd does require a MPEG-2 codec be installed. PowerDVD has worked well for this (supplying the codec) in the past. What specific issue are you having (start a new thread for this please)?

First I want to say you've done a great job and this app has come a long way. I'm trying to control media engine w/o a touch screen using a powermate and a custom keypad. I was wondering if there are any keyboard shortcuts for gps and also if there was a key that would take the focus off of the gps program back to media engine.
Thanks

I havent rec'd any emails regarding this nor have i rec'd any PM's. I do have the thread link that you posted asking for me to loan my hardware to you. I have no problem doing that. I Just was adding into the fact that i was going to purchase the Adapter from Mitch for you if you were interested. Hell ill even get you your own version of the FM project when it comes out! Im going to start a new thread regarding hardware upgrades and getting collecitons together.
