Playlist load time?

Is there any way to get MediaCar to load the playlist faster? I have about 3500 songs, all in one directory and I don't use ID3 tags, just one big playlist and leave it on shuffle. The problem is MediaCar takes about 45 seconds to a minute on the " LOADING " screen after I press mp3's on the main menu.. Just curious if I may have missed something, or if this is just the way it has to be.. Thanks all.

I have this "problem" too...i'm hoping that coyote can get it to start the last song playing again once you hit the "MP3" button, and then it loads the playlist while it is playing

Loading in line-by-line in VB is pretty slow...and it is dependant on the cpu and hard drive speed.

it seems that it only takes a long time the first time. if you keep mediacar running and just hibernate instead of shutting down it will only take a few seconds to enter the mp3 mode (at least for me). Still it would be nice if this were "fixed" though (if it is even fixable). Or maybe even just start playing an mp3 while loading (as mentioned above).

I was just thinking, how does winamp load playlists so quickly? Try it: select all your 3000 songs and press enter, it will load up in winamp in a few seconds. If mediacar's mp3 playback is based on winamp, then can't this loading method be used? Just a thought.

Did anyone come up with a fix or a better way to load mp3's quickly with mediacar? I have about 2500 mp3's and it takes a good 30 seconds to load on my m10k with 512mb of ram. Winamp loads the same list in about 2 seconds. 30 seconds feels like a week when you have to wait every time you start your car. I only live a few miles from work so I don't drive for long distances often.
