Installing MediaCar

Hey guys,

Since I'm a dumb dumb when it comes to software, I was wondering what the steps were to installing Mediacar.
What other software is needed?
And is there a skin that doesn't have the radio button on since I won't be using it? Or is it optional?

thanks for any help you can provide!

download it....
....
open it by clicking on it (twice)
...
...follow the installation

, you might need video codecs or something...
other than that it is pretty clean
Somehow i think you'll figure it out,

havent seen any no radio skins though.

Once I have set the settings I dont seem to be able to get back to that screen to edit them? No help file either, probably just me being dumb...?

duh!

Thanks, I was looking in the app, for a button, never thought to try the menu!

Anyway, I was hoping to find how to set the timeout for the autohide, which is by default too fast for me, as soon as I have focused on the window it goes. I saw something called Shearch, but I am not familiar with this word, I thought maybe it was what the French call autohide, but it didnt seem to have any affect, certainly none on the autohide timeout.

Any ideas how to get these autohide toolbar windows to stay up longer?

Thanks

Not sure if there is a config setting for it.

However if you edit the settings.ini file in the root directory of mediacar, scroll down to find

DVDEmbeddedTimeOut=5

GPSEmbeddedTimeOut=5

and any similar ones, changing that figure to a higher number might work.

Have a play but make a backup of the original file just in case.

Enforcer, any ideas on how to stop the visualization exit problem from happening? Winamp tries to restore a screen resolution that is above what my Liliput can handle as the vis ends, so the system in unusable after that? I can avoid it by not using the visualizations, but wondered if there was a setting in the winamp.ini that might fix this.
