I was just toying with a fairly rough and ready viewer app, typically how many cameras do people run? Would three "live" thumbnails down the left work then when one is clicked show it bigger at the right?

Chris.

Why dont we start out with something like what you described.

I plan on having at least three cameras and a TV tuner so 4 buttons would work for me....however i think that you should have to make the buttons active by configuring them in the INI (have no idea how this is done)

Skinning would be great too so that they match the MediaCar skin that people are using. I think a lot of people are using the Brushed Metal. I would be happy to do any skinning work but i am not a software writer and know very little about it.

Yeah, the buttons and their sizes should by dynamic, depending on how many cameras are configured in the ini file.

Yea and the skinnability is crucial... Right now this simple app rocks becasue it is just a full screen picture of tv/webcam but if you started throwing big grey clunky looking buttons it would work functionly but not asthetically.

Is anyone up for the task?

Has this app died now?
Was hoping someone would make it with buttons so we could swap between cameras and record to the hard disk too.

Cheers,
Adam.

upi can right click.. or use Frodocam. But I like th is app cause its full screen. On my PC, frodocam only shows up as 50% of the screen, very odd. But I think it works well for others.

That would be perfect if you could.
Would love to be able to record me blitzing past someone.

Cheers,

Hmzz, it seems that nobody can fix this application to something usefull
I started to search for alternatives. I think Flash could be an option.
This file seems very useful but I''m a bit of a flash noob and cant find out how to set the input device for multiple webcams.

http://flashdev.info/modules.php?op=...wthread&tid=10

perhaps somebody can try?

Re-Reading this thread, I was getting all excited thinking I had found the answer to my problem: DirectShow.

Then I went to download the SDK--VB.Net and C++ only. Dammit. I hate C++ and VB.Net is nothing like VB6. I dont wanna learn a new language!

Now, where is that "Migrating to .Net" book........

I use fullscreenTV for my cameras.. But I want it to be displayed only on the second monitor (dual-view setup)... I cannot do it..
I've tried ultramon but nothing!!
With other apps I don't have a problem!!!

Does anyone know any solution??
