I agree with what your saying and that's life, as enforcer says most of us are in the same situation, working all day, coming home to the wife and having to make a decision about whether to spend the evening with her, coding, in the garage building stuff for the car PC or sitting in front of the telly posting on here.. And it's his prerogative to do whatever he pleases.
As enforcer says even though no-one is saying he should developing this software, but it would be nice to be told - that way the core MediaCar users can think seriously about using something else rather than battle on MediaCar in the hoope a few outstanding performance and reliablity issues will be fixed.

still is, but i dont think we will get any more large updates etc as no doubt most of the code will now be sold to the new company employing him.
Only thing it lacked for me was the ability to launce/embed from the main menu, I know its picky as you can do it from the launch menu, but its more button presses etc which can be a distraction if you where mobile.
maybe an anonymous /hacked/ version may appear with this feature...........(hint)

it's always like that, good things perished while good enough ones persist.
i have used many frontends but nothing still matched the simplicity and straightforwardness of MediaCar. it has done exactly with the driver in mind without neglecting the advances of technology. it focus on functionality while others were focusing on coolness and other stuff that eventually dies out.
unfortunately mediaCar will just be remembered and be used as a reference.
