Bug Tracking List
One bug per post please!
This thread is NOT for discussing bugs. It's purpose it to track bugs that have already been reported and to cut down on multiple people posting the same bugs. If it is in this thread, then the guys at Hybrid know about it. Please post as much information as possible regarding the bug. Screenshots and error logs are perferred (they probably will not be posted in this thread but will be made available for Hybrid). Do not post something like this (I borrowed this from one of FrodoPlayer's Bug Reports):
Quote:
I get an error from Routis while using it embedded. When I use it by itself I get no errors. Anyone else have this problem?
Also, don't be surprised if your posts in this thread get deleted. Once I get the bug added to the list, I will request that a mod remove any extra posts to make this thread easier to read and manage. Sorry, no post-whoring, guys!
Derek

Am I the first one to post a bug? I asked this question in a different thread but it was moved to the archive.
I was playing with absolutepath for Paint and changed it to Routis. When I start MMC, Routis starts but MMC doesn't.
Here are the last few linese of my statuslog, and YES, those are the very last entries of the status log:
----

Another problem that I still have and had since I first installed MMC back in 2004 (I posted this before)
I have an epia M10000, onboard sound, XP with latest updates, OPUS 90w that puts the computer in hibernate mode in 10 or 20 seconds after I shut off the engine. If I have MMC open at the time it goes into hibernation, next time I start the computer MMC will be on, but there will be no sound. I can move volume up or down or mute the system volume. I get NO VOLUME until I close MMC completely and start it up again. I don't know what else to add, except that I recently tried FP and this problem is not there ( I was starting to think it was my computer). Could it be that FP is based on Windows Media (I think) or that the volume in FP drops down to 0 (?) when comp goes in hibernation and escalates back to normal when it comes out of hibernation?
Oh, if I hit Pause before my computer goes into hibernation, then I can hit Play when it starts up next time and the sound will be there. I hope this helps. Thanks guys

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.

What version of IE do you have installed? Or is yours an nLite without the IE core?

It seems that the current implementation of MMC automatically opens Mmonkey on execution. Can this be switchable? I don't use navigation all the time, and it slows my aching old hardware on boot (EPIA 800/256mb RAM). Can I just open it later when I want it?
(using Beta8): Still opens MM on execution
Also: seems to be a problem with reading OGG tags. The first image is how a track shows in MMC - the second shows the same track in FP.
(using Beta8): Same issue still exists with OGG tags

(Using Beta7): I did some further testing with the shut down tonight. The error I reported at #9 above happens when Map Monkey is open in the background. If I kill MM, and then attempt a shutdown of MMC, then it doesn't throw the error. I tested this a number of times, shutting down MM in a couple of different ways.
(using Beta8): Shuts down without error, but leaves MM open. If MMC opens MM, then shouldn't it shut it down as well?
When MMC shuts down gracefully, MMC remembers it's shuffle status nicely! It doesn't remember the EQ settings though!
(using Beta8): Now it remembers it's EQ settings, but forgets it's shuffle settings!

Can we have more than 10 bands for the EQ? I'm used to a little more control. Perhaps 15 band (2/3 octave) or 30 band (1/3 octave)?
we will make a patch for it. what is happening is map monkey isnt embedding properly and mmc is crashing trying to close it. this can be temporarily fixed either A) by renaming the mapmonkey.exe file so it wont open it automaticly, or B) open map monkey yourself first then MMC after.. this way it will embed properly.
EQ= we can add more bands, but the downside... it will put alot of load on the machine.... especially those EPIA boards. Version 2.0 will have the ability to add as many as you want.

Music Restart Feature;
Have an MP3 playing in a current session, lets say, half way thru. The mp3 I was using happened to be 40minutes long, but this should have no correlation.
Exit MMC.
Restart MMC.
When MMC goes back to play the music, it will play the First second or so of the song and then hop to the resume section of where MMC last left off.
this is kinda anoying, especially with songs that do not have the first second silenced

Exit MMC with a Video Playing
Start up MMC again. It will go into Video mode, but leave off in the root video folder but will not play back the last video.
i see two options here. on restart continue playing the video, or just go back and continue playing the last known music playlist.

Scroll bar.
when going from video menu to video menu, the scroll bar location is out of place and the indicator even at times disappears.
Click on any parrt of the scroll bar will reset its status to the proper location. kind of a long lasting issue from release to release.

On some video's, it locks up. For example, when I switch from Mpg to mpg, it'll randomly choose to lock up on video play back. This is testing on my desktop and the mpg's do play normally in widnows media player.
