help getting apps to work

hey, iv been using MI for awhile but just for basic music stuff. Recently i wanted to make it so i can open an external program in MI. I went to the apps section and tried it and it didnt work for me. I know im probably just doing something wrong, i tried to search for it but found nothing, so can someone walk me through getting an external app to work in the program? thanks

First browse for the program exe file, exe is the only file that it will be able to open. Then you set up an image file for it, then you name how you want it to show in the list. You also select wheather you want audio to keep playing or not. Once it is saved, it will show up in the list. You then select the item and then click on the run program button.

i browsed the path, selected the image, named it, checked the "play music" thing. and clicked save list and nothing happens, it didnt get added to the list, i pressed run selected programs and nothing happens. then when i leave the apps page and come back its gone. im sure i gotta be doing something wrong.

You got all the steps right except the last one
Click the Add to List button... (not the save list)

This is where you had the problem. good luck, let me know.

alright thanks, i got it to work, only thing is i thought that it would add an extra button on my home screen for the app i added, but it just opens up the program in a seperat window, iv seen other fontends that do what im talking about, anyway for MI to do that? i hope so because its my favorite one.
