Mobile Impact 4.0b issues

So we've all been awaiting the beta for the new MI and i tried it out for about 30minutes today, here's a few issues i found with mine. It could be my hardware so I was hoping some of you would have suggestions if need be

Hardware:
Celeron based mini-itx board (intel board of some sort)
512ddr 2100 ram
onboard video with 8 whopping megs of video
onboard sound (no hum, the computer isn't mounted in a metal case there's no ground loop)
usb dvd player
usb wifi
older intel usb webcam
7" Liliput eby-701 touchscreen LCD
tinyxp sp2 (could easily be the root of my problems i suspect)
wmp10

As I type, everytime i hit 'enter' the music pauses, after another enter stroke it unpauses.

iGuidence will not launch, do i need to name it back to the old name (i forget what it was before) I'm using iGuidence 3

Song title splash screen while playing a track sticks and won't go away unless I navigate out of the media player

scroll bar for file viewer (noticed in media player) jumps in place, very buggy looking, it still scrolls but the slider is very very jumpy

next track will not play after previous track is done unless i manually press next

webcam that worked in previous version no longer works in 4beta, not sure what the difference is, possibly my camera?

Ok, the Enter key is supposed to do that, it is what i programmed into the Play/Pause function, to select a file or folder, use the right arrow key. the left arrow key is the same as hitting the up dir button. However the keyboard commands are not very solid, sometimes you have to hit the up and down arrows to a couple of times to get it to respond. I could not make it any better as there were other issues that arose when i attempted to fix it. Yes rename your iguidance.exe back to iguidanceUMPC.exe now. The splash screen is caused by a weak video card, or not enough memory allocated to it. I have had a chance to test with a via board, but there have always been some minor issues with it. If you click on then off of the vizualization screen will also close it, or if you let it sit, the next song switching will also clear it. Im not sure why it is not moving to the next song. Let me test and see if i can duplicate the problem. Also the camera module has not changed. Click on the options button and make sure that the camera is still selected.

Update - I was not able to reproduce that issue where it wont go to the next song. I can see where if the splash screen doesnt go away it could stop the program from going to the next song, so lets wait and see if anyone else gets the same problem. If so, then i can put an additional switch in the settings to turn off the song splash.

i'm all about having other people post their comments as again, i'm sure it's isolated to my video card/weak OS.

i dont intend to use a keyboard at all other than typing in internet addresses and whatnot (infact, i rarely type just when i'm installing programs and whatnot)

I just read the fact that you have TinyXP installed. We have run into all kinds of weird problems with Mobile Impact and TinyXP in the commercial version. I know hard drive space is a premium. Im sure many issues will be gone in a full XP installation. Let me know how it goes if you decide to go that route. Thanks.

Videos won't go full screen anymore. In the previous version, it would go from showing w/ play buttons to full screen w/o buttons after few seconds. Has this been changed?

Hmm, I didnt change that, Did you completely uninstall the previous version, and deleted the entire folder, then installed the new version because I recommend doing this.

Thanks for the release... Just downloaded and installed in on my laptop for now. will go in the carpc later tonight. after playing on the laptop for a little while i see a few things that seemed out of place. The laptop is a core 2 duo with 1 gig ddr ram its the latest and sort of the greatest for us work ppl. so after installing and bringing it up. the laptop is set to 1280x800 so MI just came up in a corner of the screen, I don't have Iguidance installed on this laptop so when i pressed the GPS button a black screen came up but a split screen came up beside the main window with the main menu except that the GPS button said Phonecontrol on it. Here is a screenshot of it.

This is actually exactly what is supposed to happen. If you had a dual screen system with it set up for windows extended desktop, you would see the gps screen on the first monitor and this main menu would show on the 2nd screen for the passengers. Im going to go ahead and close this post, everyone please post here ->
