Another issue seen is Iguidance is not embedded correctly. The top and bottom is missing. Meaning where the route is showing and the speed of the GPS it is missing.

Edit: didnt look at the position of the GPS setting. IG4 embedded perfectly

Red Your software is great.. I just downloaded the b version. I was looking at it. Red i am not sure how much code this would take.. Just maybe something to think about for MI 5.
The osk could maybe have some more keys . The keys or shortcuts i was referring to is com, net, org, gov, that way you could save a few keystrokes or presses on the touch screen.. Just an Idea.. I know it takes alof of time and effort to do what you do.

lol, waited 6 Months finally!!! But im having an issue, when i start mobile impact, and after about 5 sec, a bar comes up it has a picture that Says ASK then it has text that says Experts and Advice. Then it gives me a Run-Time Error 424 object required...any ides???

did u have an old version install. if so remove it and install again.

Great Work Red!! Thanks so much for the front end. It looks awesome. I will definitely send some type of donation your way, that is after my next pay check.

People who create work like this are usually perfectionist right? So I did come across some bugs. 1) When I am in GPS mode with Iguidance v3.0, its seems that the shuffle button doesn't work. When a song finishes it just stops and I have to hit the next arrow key at the top of the screen and it just plays the next song in line. 2) It appears sometimes that the flash that shows the song artist & title gets stuck in this manner: it will keep flashing one song name over and over even though i am moving on during shuffle, clicking another song, or moving to a video file. Also sometimes the flash doesn't show up at all.

I drive about 2 hrs everyday so I like using the shuffle button alot. The shuffle is a better improvement over MI version 3 in that it doesn;t play the same couple of songs over and over. However, it seems that the same order of songs are being played after ever session. For example, song A, B, C, D, E is shuffle to B, C, D, A, E. So everytime I start up the car to go somewhere and i use the shuffle option, it will always be songs B, C, D, A, E. Which means that it will always go to the top of the order and work its way down, so this will be hard to go through your entire collection of songs if your collection is big. It defeats the purpose of having a shuffle option if it plays the same order everytime. I would definitely like to have a change of songs after each session. Is there something wrong with my install or this was how it was design? Can it be programmed in such a way that the shuffle option gives a different order everytime you press the shuffle button.

Once again thanks for the frontend and any advice you can give. I hope that I didn't sound too whiny and unappreciative. My motive is just give input and make the frontend better.

This doesnt sound like anything from the program. Can you post a screenshot?

Thanks for the report. The new shuffle code creates a list of numbers derived from the amount of files it finds, then dumps the number with no duplicates into this list then plays the tracks accordingly, its kind of clunky, but it works better than the old shuffle, but again the code is ugly. I dont think that i tied the buttons on gps module into the shuffle code, I figured that most folks who use shuffle, wouldnt hit the next or previous buttons very often or if they did they only hit it once or twice, when in gps mode the media module is in a hidden state and the code that it would take to tie those buttons into the shuffle code might bring the module into a showing state, which would cause problems, so i think for now Im gonna leave that out. Regarding the song title splash screen, I ran into some problems with it, its a cool feature, but as you said sometimes it hangs or shows the wrong song title on it. This is actually caused by a weak video card. Unfortunately the older via boards are gonna have this problem and lower end machines with integrated video that dont have much video memory.

Thanks for the explanation Red. Do you think it is possible to make this list of numbers have a different random order every time the shuffle button is hit? Or is this very difficult to code?

Actually the filelist triggers it to regenerate the list of numbers every time that a folder is clicked on, or every time it opens the module, basically this is on the activate and the item click events.

Your shuffle do have issue. If shuffle is turn on it wont change track by itself. it just stuck on the same track when it end and nothing plays unless u click next track.

I am also experiencing the same problem on videos, but not music mp3s. Kinda annoying, especially when using GPS.

Another problem is shuffle doesn't work when in GPS module. Just forwards to the next track. Believe, this issue existed in the previous version.

Okay so anyone get webtv working if so what did you do.
When I click the button the webtv channels are loaded. I click one. the flash screen comes up displaying my choice. Then the screen is blank. Blank meaning nothing loads..
This is my test pc.. m1 4.0b wired ethernet connection
live traffic is working.. GPS IS iGUIDANCE 3.01
No touchscreen, using vga monitor and keyboard and mouse.
wmp 10
ffdshow codec
no firewall software running.
ca antivirus set to snooze

well maybe its me but does the splash screen for song titles only work when i click on a new song or video. it does not work when going to next song on its own..
steps i took to recreate
open mi > media > choose file > splash screen > file plays > use slider to fast forward to almost end of file playing. > song ends > no splash screen > next file starts.
any one else?

the song splash screen works only upon track selection for me as well, except, it doesn't go away unless i navigate to the main menu and back to media......
