thankyou. i had been trying to rename/save as .m3u on several different playlists but it wasn't working

however i just tested it with those thracks and it worked fine.
however because of the state of the playlists that media player chucks out i think it will be just as quick to go through mobile impact and create them track by track.

that is unless you're planning to do something that will make it easier in the next couple of weeks?

Sorry, probably no major changes in the next couple of week, but I will toy around with the playlist and see if I can make it move multiple files into the list instead of one at a time.

I coded it so that it can add all the files in the directory at once.

I am trying to get it to just add specific selected files, but am having some difficulties with that part.

i've noticed a little 'glitch', you can't have playlists in a folder without another folder in there with them

I think the instructions are on post #40.

As far as the resolution, can this one be run at 600X800 instead of 800x600? Does anyone have a skin done at this resolution? I am trying to find a frontend with skin that will work for my setup. But so far just have an empty XP system sitting in my trunk.

The playlist saves in the same directory that shows in the left screen, so you have to make sure you know where the file is saving when you save it. So if you are in C:\Media\Mp3\Will Smith\ on the left and you add all the songs over to the right screen, then you name the playlist and then save it, you should immediately see the playlist file shown at the bottom of the list on the left. If you want to save the playlist here: C:\Media\Mp3 then you have to go back to show that directory on the left if you want the playlist file to save there. I hope this explains it, if not let me know. Thanks.

Sorry no, it is hard coded at 800 x 600. Im guessing that you have your screen turned vertically, instead of horizontally. This has got to be kind of difficult to make things work right with any of the front ends available. I dont even thing that you can create skins for any of them as they are all stuck on horizontal measurements. Whats the reason that you installed your monitor virtically and not horizontally?

right ok then.
can you reopen a playlist in the playlist section and then choose to save it somewhere else?

and for anyone else who wants to add tracks in bulk through windows,
open a DOS prompt window and navigate the prompt to the directory where your music is

then type
dir /b /s >'filename'.txt put your required file name here
this will dump all of the file paths in that directory into a txt file. you can then open this and move the specific tracks/albums to a playlist file (.m3u) for use in mobile impact)

Yes, just open the playlist file so the contents appear on the right, then navigate to a different directory and hit save list.

I took great lengths in making sure that the shuffle worked in both file and playlist mode. The program shuffles within a single playlist. It will not shuffle between several different playlists however. Like if you have a directory list of several m3u files, it will only play within the selected m3u file, it will keep repeating the same playlist until a different playlist file is selected.
