Sorry no, it is hard coded at 800x600 which keeps the code fast and trouble free, which the program is for the most part. Why 640x480? the buttons and controls are all extremely touch friendly at its current resolution. Most screens support this nowadays, and if its a regular lcd screen, its going to look lousy even at 640x480. Let me know what the scoop is.

Maybe that's the native resolution on his screen. Everything looks crisper at the native resolution.

Ya, its a 640x480 screen.....the screen will work at 800x600 but when you look at text you can tell it is skipping everyother line and it just looks crapy. Right now i'm useing MediaCar and loveing it, even though its two years old. I like the style it uses and how it works, its close to MI and i like MI, alot. Would it be posable to get a copy of 1.x?

Actually I was going to suggest it, but it only has Audio/Video, GPS, DVD (must have a legal codec to work), N64, Apps, Images, and Playlist, and its no where near as good as the current MI version. The GPS doesnt embed iGuidance properly half the time, and the Audio/Video module can only view files from your C:\ drive, and the DVD had some issues. All of that aside; Download it here:

Make sure you uninstall any other version of MI on your computer and then also delete the C:\Program files\Mobile Impact directory to make sure its a clean install. There might be graphics and other conflicts.

well, i would have to say that MI3 at 800x600 on a 640x480 lcd screen looks OK, not great but OK. I would deffinetly keep it on there but it dosn't work with one of my components.....I have a USB remote control that works great with MediaCar (runs winamp in the background) but only controls the windows volume when running MI3. The remote is a StreamZap USB Remote http://www.streamzap.com/

thanx for the help though, i'm gona stick to mediacar....unless you have a resolution for this.

I am able to us MI 4 at 640x480 but the main page does not display right but the rest

I am able to us MI 4 at 640x480 but the main page does not display right but the rest of the app does.

Open the folder where you installed Mobile Impact (C:\Program Files\Mobile Impact). To be safe make a copy of config.ini. Now open config.ini with notepad and locate FULLSCREEN=1 and change the 1 to a 0. Just save the changes and then launch Mobile Impact.

FULLSCREEN=0
#FULLSCREEN=0 -> will allow the visualization or video to full screen after 30 seconds
#FULLSCREEN=1 -> the visualization or video will not go to full screen

If you want i will email you a screen shot. I am still working on resolving the issue.

I love Mobile Impact! It is the best front end i have used! Great job!

PS: You can also right click on the icon, select properties, go over to the compatibility tab, now select (Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution), and then hit OK.

Check out MyMobiler! http://www.mymobiler.com/

One thing to add! You may want to check out MyMobiler. It allows you to control your windows mobile phone with your pc. It would be nice if you could integrate this in to MI. Right now I just use keyboard shortcuts to launch the app.

Install MyMobiler making sure that you install it in the program folder. Now right click on my computer and go down to properties, once there go over to the advanced tab. Select “Environment Variables”, go down to the system variables window near the bottom. Now look for the variable named PATH and select it. One you have that open add the following to the end of the variable value without the quotes “;C:\Program Files\MyMobile”. The line you just added should be the path were mymobiler is installed. Once you have done that you should be able to create a custom shortcut to launch the app and open your phone at the same time. To do this just right click on your desktop and go down to new and then select shortcut. It will ask you for “Type the location of the item:” you will need to type mymobiler.exe –open then hit next and give it a name like Open Phone or something like that. To create a keyboard shortcut to launch the app just right click the shortcut and go down to properties, go over to the shortcut tab and then go down to the shortcut key filed and enter the key combo you like such as ctrl+alt+p.

Once you have the phone window open go over to view and then select show skin you may want uncheck always on top first.

MY MOBILER v1.23 (06/15/2008) - FREEWARE

* View your mobile screen on your desktop.
* Control your mobile by using desktop keyboard and mouse.
* Copy/Cut/Paste text between mobile and desktop.
* Capture mobile screen.
* Drag and drop files to your mobile.
* Support ActiveSync / IP Connection
* Support Mobile Explorer (File Browse)

Looks like you just see your windows mobile phone screen on your computer screen. Cool concept, but it doesnt look like there is an sdk available, so it would be stuck using it as they have written it, i couldnt integrate it into MI, but you use the external applications module in MI to open this program.
